What's the process for requesting PTO?
To request PTO: 1) Log into BambooHR, 2) Click "Time Off" > "Request Time Off," 3) Select your PTO type (Vacation, Sick, Personal), 4) Choose your dates, 5) Add a note for your manager (optional), 6) Click Submit. Your manager receives an email notification and has 48 hours to approve.
How many PTO days do I have per year?
PTO accrual depends on tenure: Year 1–2: 15 days, Year 3–5: 20 days, Year 6+: 25 days. PTO accrues monthly (e.g., 1.25 days/month for 15-day plan). Unused PTO rolls over up to 5 days per year. Check your BambooHR dashboard for your current balance.
Can I use PTO during my first 90 days?
PTO begins accruing on your start date, but you can't use vacation PTO during the first 90 days. Sick days and personal days are available immediately. After 90 days, all accrued PTO becomes available. If you have questions about a specific situation, reach out to HR at hr@company.com.
